Please join us for a day of advocacy in support of legislation WISPA is introducing in Texas, featuring conversations with key policymakers and network with vendor sponsors in the morning and meetings in the State Capitol to discuss broadband policy in the afternoon.
8:00 am: Registration Opens (closes 9:30 am) Same-day registration available, but we encourage attendees to register early so we can schedule meetings with your home district legislators
8:30 am: Welcome and Introductions from JJ McGrath and David Zumwalt
8:45 am: Keynote—Greg Conte (Director, Texas Broadband Development Office)
9:45 am: Legislative Update—Spencer Ward (Executive Director, Innovation and Technology Caucus of the Texas Legislature)
10:15 am: Advocacy Training and Preparation—Steven Schwerbel (WISPA Director, State Advocacy) and Nick Tuccio (Government Affairs Manager, NextLink)
11:30 am: Federal Programs Update—Steve Coran (Lerman-Senter)
12:00 pm: Lunch & Vendor Networking
1:00 pm: Meetings with Legislators at State Capitol
Approximately 5:00 pm: Networking Event (DoubleTree Downtown Austin)
After our scheduled meetings in the Capitol, we will meet up at the DoubleTree for a closing networking mixer, followed by open dinner options. A special guest may join us here, with details to be announced during the day's programming. The reception does not have a sponsor, but we hope you'll join us to celebrate and recap the day and build connections with your fellow WISPA members.
