Jacob Johnson is the founder and Chief Technology Officer of Eminent Technical Solutions (ETS), an Utah/Idaho-based technology and broadband infrastructure firm dedicated to connecting communities through practical, forward-thinking solutions. A fifth-generation Idahoan, Jacob values the people, landscapes, and communities that define the state and believes reliable broadband is essential to modern life.
Under his leadership, ETS has grown from a small consulting practice into one of the Intermountain West’s most trusted broadband partners. The company designs and builds open-access broadband networks that combine fiber-first and hybrid wireless technologies. Each network is locally engineered, supported, and built for long-term sustainability. ETS is recognized for its innovative, community-first approach, partnering with rural counties, cities, and regional coalitions to deliver reliable high-speed internet through sustainable public-private collaborations with a focus on wholistic technology applications.
A former civilian contractor for the U.S. Air Force as an Information Security Analyst and for the Department of Defense as a Systems Analyst, Jacob brings a disciplined approach to network reliability and security. Today, that same discipline guides his work in the broadband sector, where ETS partners with communities to enhance access, reliability, resilience, and long-term sustainability in local networks. Outside of work, Jacob is an avid outdoorsman, fly-fisherman, and devoted family man who believes that strong, connected communities are essential in today’s world.
