David Burns lives in the Cotswolds area of the United Kingdom and is a well-known figure in the Fixed Wireless Access industry. He is Chairman of UKWISPA and founder of Boundless Networks which he ran for 10-years before selling to Quickline. He launched Wireless Coverage Ltd to develop and sell the WISDM wireless simulation system at the end of 2018, which began commercial sales in 2021.

In 2015, David established the UK Wireless Internet Services Providers Association (UKWISPA) as a vehicle to raise awareness of the FWA industry and to help operators build higher quality networks in the UK. David continues as Chairman of UKWISPA, which now has over 100 members. UKWISPA is recognised formally by the Regulator, Ofcom and the UK Government.

WISDM is the dominant network planning tool for WISPs in the UK and has recently been launched into the USA via subsidiary, WISDM Inc. WISDM software is regarded as the fastest and most accurate wireless modelling system in the market and now has users in the US (largest market), UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

Accuracy and performance are central to WISDM, meaning that most features such as Hi-Def viewsheds and property coverage reports are real-time.
