Martha Huizenga is the COO and co-owner of DC Access, LLC, where she manages strategic and operational areas including marketing, customer service, HR, and accounting. Joining the company in 2004, one year after DC Access launched its wireless internet services, Martha has been instrumental in the company’s growth since its founding in 1999. Her career experience includes significant prior roles in software development and marketing at MCI and various telecom software companies.

DC Access serves an urban market in Washington, DC competing with DSL from Verizon and cable from Comcast. DC residents have a “Buy Local” mentality, so most people switch if they are having issues with another carrier or because they want to support a local company who supports the community where they live. DC Access has a long list of prospects in areas they don’t serve - asking to free them “from the Cable company” or “from the big guys”.
