Tommy Croghan started out in the ISP space at Roggen Telephone Cooperative 7 years ago with little more than a Philosophy degree and a passion for technology. Through feely available industry knowledge on forums and blog posts, multiple patient bosses and lots of mistakes he was able to quickly grow and begin implementing industry best practices in his own work.
He worked his way up through his first company from a Combination Technician to Network Engineer, modifying, rebuilding, and re-architecting every piece of equipment they owned along the way. All to reduce churn by improving the customer experience, mainly by moving from customer's notifying him about issues operation to “the company notifying customers about resolutions before they even were aware of an issue” philosophy.
He is currently working in Illinois as a Network Engineer for DNA Communications, he is a Consultant as Lost Creek Technology and is a Co-Host on The Brothers WISP Podcast where he tries his best to give back to the community that gave him so much.
