Matt Wade is the co-owner of DC Access, LLC responsible for technical operations. Matt started DC Access in 1999 as a dial-up and web hosting company. In 2003, DC Access started providing wireless Internet. Prior to starting DC Access, Matt worked at Bell Atlantic, now Verizon, and as a consultant for over 12 years as a computer programmer with a focus on billing systems. Matt applies a combination of direct service provider experience with a background in electrical engineering and computer science from Duke University.

DC Access serves an urban market in Washington, DC competing with DSL from Verizon and cable from Comcast. DC residents have a “Buy Local” mentality, so most people switch if they are having issues with another carrier or because they want to support a local company who supports the community where they live. DC Access has a long list of prospects in areas they don’t serve - asking to free them “from the Cable company” or “from the big guys”.
