Jose is a Co-Founder at CEO at Bequant, SL. He was one of the key developers of the Bequant TCP proxy and holds patents in the area of congestion management and bufferbloat reduction. Before Bequant, he co-founded and led, as CEO, NetSpira Networks, a pioneer company in the field of deep-packet inspection for mobile broadband, which was acquired by Ericsson, where Jose also led the integration of the NetSpira product into the Ericsson mobile broadband portfolio. Before NetSpira, he was co-founder of Inspira, a solar-power tracker technology start-up. Jose started working at Bell Labs in Allentown, PA, and then continued at Lucent and Atos in Madrid. He holds an MSc degree in Electronics Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA) and a Telecommunications Engineer degree from UPM Madrid.
