He currently serves on the board of directors and is Chair of the Bylaws Committee and a member of the Policy Committee for the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) and is active in advocacy efforts with both the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the U.S. Congress. Rise is a recipient of the FierceWireless Service Provider of the Year award and was named Best Rural ISP Overall by CNET .
