• Sheath Cutting & Cable Selection: Gain experience in safely cutting into a fiber cable sheath and correctly identifying and isolating specific fibers.
• Troubleshooting Light Levels: Hands-on exercises in using optical test equipment, such as OTDRs and light meters, to measure light levels and troubleshoot signal loss.
• Quality Assurance Techniques: Understand how to inspect and verify fiber installation quality, including connector cleanliness and splice integrity.
• Connectorization: Practice terminating fiber with different types of connectors and learn how to properly test the connections.
